Zaheer Abbas graduated from Asian Institute of Fashion Design with a distinction
in 2005. With a few forays into the world of Public Relations, events and doing
costumes for advertisements, he made his debut at Fashion Pakistan Week in 2010
with a collection titled Lady Unveil. Amidst critical acclaim he went on to win Lux Style
Award for Best Emerging Talent just a year after in 2011.The brand’s logo that features
intricate botanical branches that spread out in four directions signifying growth and
exploration. The elaborate structure denote the simplicity in complexity and great
attention to detail that the brand is known for His immaculate styling and great attention
to detail led him to be chosen as one of the six designers to showcase at Pret porter
fashion week in Paris. The International showcase proved to be great success and led the
designer to later present in London, Manchester and in USA and Canada With a penchant
for simplicity and elegance in design his collection titled Virgin showcased at FPW’ 4
drew great critical and commercial success and subsequently won him an award
for Best Collection. The designer’s foray into advertisements and media productions
continued with him designing costumes for Lux soap, Clear Shampoo and many
other brands and telefilms like Anjuman that got him an award for Best Costume
Designer at Geo Telefilm Awards.Owing to cultural considerations and demand by
brand’s patrons Zaheer Abbas launched his bridal label in 2013 that reflected his
puritan aesthetic that builds on feminine elegance. And his studio is based in
Clifton Karachi for couture and appointments.
